OnlyFans: unfairly maligned

OnlyFans does all kinds of authentic commerce, even things like fashion, nutrition, comedy, and other services and entertainment-modalities.

In many ways, OnlyFans is a far better commerce-platform than e.g. Facebook. OnlyFans does not permit spam, bribed advertising e.g. ". . . you might also be interested in ___________", and other misleading spammy marketing methods e.g. clickbaits. OnlyFans is not an ad-based biz-model, it is subscription-based.  That is a huge difference from Facebook, Insta, many other platforms. Anything ad-based is pernicious and lacking proper alignment between provider and seller.

Next, both parties within OnlyFans, a) the viewers, and b) the content-providers, cannot join the platform unless they give driver license and bank account or credit card. So there cannot be bot-users or fake-name-users.  Further, the viewers are subscribers . . .  not merely receivers of algo-based ads. In OnlyFans, the subscribers paid to be there. They are the "chump" in the equation but unlike Buffett's famous poker analogy, these viewers\subscribers know they are the chump. They actually want this.

We want our clients on OnlyFans, but not for the porn, instead for the deeper customer-pool and their authenticity and liquidity, also for the non-spammy interface.  

OnlyFans is not intended for mobile devices, and deliberately does not use an App. One must enter it through a browser-only. And the person watching the content? That is a real person who has a real credit card.

But almost no one thinks of OnlyFans this way.  Yes of course the body parts, and some portions are worse than that. Some of the exhibitionism is very raw, sometimes involving a woman's pain..

Start marking your OnlyFans Handle with TM in the lower RH corner. Doing so is free, and does not require an attorney or any filings in any court. Since this is how customers find you, its important to protect this Handle, including from people who use mis-spellings and near-spellings of your Handle in order to get spill-over windfall customers that were originally searching for you.

This Handle is your Brand, or one of your Brands. Protect it.

Marking your Handle with TM <and eventually marking (R)> is also important for your non-OnlyFans media and other commercial ventures.

Copying and improper distribution of content is a big problem within OnlyFans. The existing mechanisms for policing and prosecuting copyright infringement are a lot of work. The DMCA has plenty of weaknesses and hurdles in execution.

So add Federal Trademark Registration(s) to your mix of weapons! Doing so provides at least three distinct advantages. The first is that OnlyFans is but one platform, and may go away, evolve, or change. You want your distinctive Brand to exist outside of OnlyFans. Every reasonable person making money from OnlyFans always knows "this is temporary". 

The second is that the DMCA has its limits. Many of your peer-group OnlyFans providers will testify to this. Further, never mind the human audience that bootlegs copies of your material for profit, there exists another problem. The non-human replication software is too good, also the hosting software, is too fast, too evasive, to initiate a DMCA action against each one. They just pop up too quickly.

The third problem is deepfake AI software that is looks so much like you its scary. One way to combat AI deepfakes is to combine all of DMCA, trademark, and NIL laws in a "suite to defeat" the copyists. 

A female ex-offender re-entering the workforce sometimes cannot get any other job. Further, these available jobs are often demeaning e.g. an adult working at Burger King, based on a time-clock, and involve having working transportation. The customers are engaged partly by a fantasy that they are eventually going to meet this person. All this money and self-pleasure is eventually going to "pay off".  When they finally realize this is not going to happen, they can go psychotic. They might dedicate themselves to outing their favorite service provider, or breaching the barrier between provider and customer. This includes violent behavior, stalking, and other destructive behavior.

OnlyFans and similar platforms have basically 3 components: the platform itself, the entertainment providers, and the customers. The chumps in this equation? the customers. These are often weak individuals who live their lives through electronic means, and have minimal personal interaction with girls. While no one loves this business model, it is improper to blame the girls for this problem. The ones deserving the blame are mainly the customers funding all this.

We will eventually get to a day where having OnlyFans on a resume is not a deterrent to hiring in some type of corporate position

Critics of OnlyFans often focus on the girls, the providers. That is fine and these providers can certainly may have their problems. But these same Critics overlook the customer-base, the males, the introverted desperate males who have a secret resentment toward attractive females and the desires they cause. 

But the girls of OnlyFans have a powerful weapon against this. Their most loyal customers often overshare about themselves. This is not limited to paying the female providers far more than these customers can or should afford. But to add to the thrill, some customers also  include a lot of dangerous personal information about themselves, including that they are involved in a Christian Church in some type of leadership position such as Bishop, Pastor, Reverend, Elder, Minister, Prophet, Apostle, or Stake Leader.  

These persons sometimes show their background behind them, including the pulpit, rectory, and other religious symbols. This is some type of way of making the experience more risky, more pleasurable, but also in a way of seemingly being "open" to the provider. Again this involves preserving the dangerous fantasy that eventually this customer is going to meet this provider.

The green 3D printed item is similar to an item sold by an OnlyFans provider. One way to create such items is using Scanaverse, available on any iPhone. Scanaverse requires taking multiple photographs of a subject. The software stitches these photographs into a 3D-printable STL files.

Some OnlyFans models sell these items as "swag". They might charge ~$70 for an item that required about 21 cents of 3D filament.

The revenue from selling swag can become quite substantial. Plus, anyone can see from the image above, the provider's anonymity is preserved, yet the swag still has value to the purchaser.
